Dogme 95 is the music of disparate elements combined in a
framework that makes sense through your brain's ability to
perceive it as a whole. The songs are extremely listenable
and filled with little bits that fishhook themselves into your
consciousness and resurface hours later when you find
yourself whistling them as you're buying groceries. Only
upon reflection does your brain realize how weird some of
this music is. Folky synth-pop with chain gang chants?
Lo-fi sample collage with casio beats and acoustic guitar?
How is music like this so catchy?
